Billing Structure

We understand that our clients come from different backgrounds and have varying financial situations. Because of this, we offer several different billing structures to create a relationship that makes financial sense to you.
The initial consultation is free! This gives us the opportunity to learn about you, and also gives you the opportunity to learn about us. We don’t believe in billing potential clients until we have demonstrated our value and created a baseline of trust.
We do have hourly rates that we will utilize only when it makes sense. These are for when we cannot easily project the amount of time and resources needed to complete a task. For hourly rates, we hold open the option of discussing a budget and creating a billable ceiling. Once we reach that number, we will reconvene with you to give a full update and discuss how you would like to move forward. If a ceiling is set, you will not be billed over that amount until you give consent.
If we can reasonably estimate the time and resources needed to complete a project, we will establish a flat project fee for that task. We like this option because it gives our clients the ability to accurately budget and account for that expense.
For clients who will need to utilize our services on a consistent basis, we have created a monthly retainer package. With this option, we discuss the estimated number of hours the firm will be asked to do work each month and come up with a flat monthly price that the client pays on or before the first of each month during which services are going to be rendered. This price includes all routine business transactions (i.e. contract drafting, review, phone calls, emails, etc.). It does not cover any transaction outside of the ordinary course of business (i.e. mergers and acquisitions) or complex transactions (i.e. restructuring). It also does not include litigation services.
Litigation cases are billed at either an hourly rate or handled on a contingency basis. We also offer a hybrid contingency fee with a reduced hourly rate.
